Meet Bella
Bella, has made remarkable progress since arriving with us and has truly come out of her shell. Over the past couple of weeks, her confidence has grown immensely and she is now very much a typical Springer Spaniel.
She is fully house-trained, having had no accidents indoors for over a week, and will actively ask to go outside. Bella sleeps well at night beside the bed and settles easily into a routine, waking around 7am and heading straight out for a wee before enjoying her morning walk.
Bella absolutely loves her walks and has excellent stamina 5–7km is no problem for her, and she would happily go further. She will therefore need an active home that enjoys regular, longer walks and outdoor adventures.
She is very gentle and submissive with other dogs and gains a lot of confidence from them. Bella would strongly benefit from having another friendly dog in the home, as she takes reassurance from canine companions and learns quickly by following their lead. She can be unsure when dogs try to initiate play but continues to grow in confidence every day.
When Bella first arrived, she was nervous and hesitant around food, but she now eats both meals enthusiastically and without fuss. She loves affection and enjoys cuddling on the sofa, especially when things are calm.
Bella has begun approaching strangers while out on walks and is becoming increasingly confident in new situations. She is a sensitive girl and, if things become too much, will quietly take herself off to a safe space. For this reason, we feel she would be suitable for a home with calm, respectful children who understand dog boundaries.
Bella would thrive in a patient, active home with another dog and adopters who can continue building her confidence at her pace. In return, she will make a loyal, affectionate, and loving companion. Apply via the link below.
