Meet Coco

Coco, is a beautiful American Bulldog girl that came into rescue originally after being found as a stray and landed in the dog pound. We saved her from being put to sleep as she had no where to go and the kennels were full.

Coco was in her home for a couple of years but not without problems. It became apparent that Coco doesn’t like people of an African or Indian heritage and can be reactive towards them. She has nipped a couple of people whilst in her previous home but has never done any real damage.

Coco came back into rescue and has been with us for a while now. She has been an absolute star! We haven’t seen any negative behaviour whatsoever. She has met all kids of people including men, women and children and even babies and has been great. She’s absolutely amazing with other dogs and hasn’t shown any issues at all other then being too much for small puppies.

We do however have to take into account her behaviour in the previous home. The environment she’s in at the moment is a controlled environment and these introductions have been done with an experienced handler. We honestly believe she picks up on your confidence levels and if she knows ‘you got this’ then realises she doesn’t have to take control of the situation. We also believe being wiht other dogs has increased her confidence levels and she feels less need to misbehave as she’s happier.

Coco needs a home with an experienced handler and someone who can continue her socialising with a firm but fair hand. She does have a habit of jumping up at your face and sir snapping but this is simply playful there’s no aggression behind it. This has improved since being in foster but she may try it with new people.

Coco is not tested with cats. If you can give this girl a forever home then please click the link below to apply.
