Meet Valerie

Valerie is a beautiful girl that we saved from the pound. She was due to be put to sleep as she had no where to go, but we couldn’t let that happen. She was found as a stray so we have no history on her but we believe her to be a boxer cross American bulldog girl at around age 3 years old. Valerie came in really quite underweight and very scared. She was very smelly and timid but after a few weeks in her foster home she’s really come out of her shell! Val has undergone an assessment period and has passed with flying colours. She adores children and has been around kids in her foster home as young as 4 years old and has nothing but love and kisses to give. Shes great with other dogs, but can bark at first. After a few minutes adapting she ignores them and takes everything in her stride. She can be protective of her food around other dogs though and we believe this to be due to her having food restricted. She doesn’t know when her next meal is coming, but she is already improving with this since being fed regularly and no longer going hungry. Val can be a timid girl at first and has given a little growl and bark when meeting new people but it’s just because she is scared. She hasn’t shown any real aggression and I don’t think she actually knows how to! She’s so so lovely. Val can’t be tested with cats. She’s currently in Lincoln area.
